Classy Kid=Incredible Products!

As parents, you can’t help but think about protecting your children from Germs. It’s incredible the amount of germs we find on everyday items we use. When I took my Nursing Assistant’s course in high school, we swabbed random things (magazine in waiting room, door handles, cell phone, toilet seats) and then waited to see what would “grow”. We were amazed at what came from our little experiment. Looking back at that now, ICK! I touch these items everyday or even “better” Kelsie touches it! Need I say more about why I think about germs? Did you know that 4 out of 5 of all illnesses are spread by touch?

Classy Kid, Inc. offers a wide variety of “Germ Defense and Easy Clean-up products for families on the go!” They are “dedicated to improving the quality of life of parents and children everywhere by developing products that help maintain health & hygiene.” Classy Kid offers first aid items (I saw these in my local Target!), reusable travel items, and much much more!

With two little ones, I was beyond excited to check out the Classy Kid products. They have an eco-friendly line of Green and Clean Products with each product made of biodegradable materials. From Potty Protectors to disposable bibs, every family NEEDS these items! We were lucky enough to get the chance to try out the Green and Clean Products in our family and I definitely found some favorites.

One thing I hate when I am out and about is placing Aubrey on that cold and “unfriendly” changing table in public bathrooms. And of course, we don’t know how often those things actually get cleaned am I right? And alot of the time, the little flimsy paper they have to cover it is out. The Classy Kid Changing Table Covers are perfect for changing time in public! It is made of water-proof cotton and will fit any restroom changing table. They come in a convenient bag that makes it easy to throw in the diaper bag for any outing.

Another great product from Classy Kid are the “Keep Me Coloring Placemats”. If you have a child anything like my turkey daughter Kelsie, I’m sure you’ve played the pick up the crayon game dining out. The crayons they give you are bound to go for a race off the table, leaving you picking up in between bites of your meal. Classy Kid’s placemats offer “CrayAngles”-a triangular-shaped crayon that stops from rolling off the table! Thank goodness! The placemats keep little one entertained while waiting for food and also stick to the table so you don’t have to continue picking it up off the ground either.

I also love the Keep Me Tidy Diaper Sacks. These bags are a lifesaver for when changing diapers away from home. Just throw the diaper in, tie the bag up, and you are set until you can get to a garbage can.

Classy-Kid, Inc. offers items that are a must have to protect our little ones from those germs! You can find their product lines at Target as well as Babies R’ Us. If you don’t have a nearby store you can always purchase online!

  16. The CrayAngles® Triangular Crayons are very cool! It makes perfect sense to make crayons in a triangular shape! I also like that they are non toxic and that they teach the wee ones to use the proper grip for holding pens, pencils, etc.

    Thanks

  17. I learned a couple of things while checking out the site. I learned that whether someone becomes ill depends on the type of germs, number of germ cells acquired, and the person’s immune system strength. I also learned that the average toddler will be sick 8 times per year from germs they’ve acquired.

  19. I learned that you should wash your hands for at least 15 seconds. I know that many people do not wash nearly that long.

  20. The average toddler will be sick 8 times per year. And they spread it to Mom, Dad, Uncle, Grandma and Grandpa. Haven’t gotten this sick for a long time since this first grandbaby was born!

  21. even as a nurse I didnt know that Four out of five of all illnesses are spread by touch.

  22. I learned that a university study stated that on average there are more germs per square inch found on restaurant tables than on ATM buttons, bathroom changing tables, or elevator buttons – gross – but I totally believe it!

  23. Four out of five illnesses caused by touch -yet it’s still so necessary for people to be touched Ironic

  24. Whether someone becomes ill depends on the type of germs, number of germ cells acquired, and the person’s immune system strength.

  25. Breastfeeding. Breast milk is known to protect against gastrointestinal tract infections, otitis media, invasive Haemophilus influenzae type b infection, RSV infection, and other causes of upper and lower respiratory tract infections – even years after the breastfeeding is done. Kids who don’t breastfeed average 5 times more ear infections.

I think its true, my toddler is almost two and had a cold once when we both moved and visited relatives far away – we took a plan, and he met lots of cousins, his grandparents – it was very exciting and stimulating. Otherwise, although he has friends who get sick a lot and he goes to the park full of sick kids, wiping their noses on their hands and touching everything so far, knock wood, he’s been healthy.

Although its thought to be healthy to get sick – bolsters the immune system.

  26. I learned that “University studies have shown that on average there are more germs per square inch found on restaurant tables than on ATM buttons, bathroom changing tables, or elevator buttons.” Now, that’s alot of germs!
Thank you for the nice and clean giveaway.

  32. The average toddler will be sick 8 times per year from germs they’ve acquired, but it can be reduced to about 3 with proper precautions! What a difference!

  33. It can be kinda scary reading about germs…but it was helpful reading about how to beat them (or at least most of them). One thing they mentioned was: The #1 thing we can do to break the path of germ transmission into the body is wash our hands for 15 seconds.

Definitely need to start timing 🙂
