I’m tellin’ ya, with four kids, two dogs and a worn out momma working only part-time, we’ll save money wherever we can get it. As much as I hate those GEICO commercials, I’m not above teaching our youngest to dunk so we can score a college scholarship. Did I just admit that? Jason convinced me last week to re-examine our bills and see if we can’t save some money by switching cable packages, consolidating insurance plans, and researching prices on http://www.ShopElectricityRatesTEXAS.com to save on our power bill. It seems silly that a few dollars here and there could really save our family money. I was thinking I’d have to take up extreme couponing to even put a dent in our monthly budget, but as it turns out, with all those changes, we are now saving over $250 a month. Not to mention that we try to be conscious of leaving on lights and TV’s (and by “we” I mean only me and not the other five people I live with), stocking up on buy-one-get-one-free’s at Publix, and running errands when I’m already out to save on gas. I’m a wonder woman, I know. Try it!
