I have been looking for more meals to make from scratch that also are hits with even the pickiest eaters, aka my kids. I decided to try out a Velveeta Macaroni and Cheese. This was a very easy recipe that only took about 20 minutes to take and was well worth it.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Elbow Macaroni, uncooked
- 3/4 lb. (12 oz.) Velveeta Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/3 Cup Milk
- 1/8 tsp. pepper.
Since my energy has been kind of blah lately, I made a double batch so we had leftovers so later.
Boil elbow macaroni by instructions on packaging (until tender)
While the noodles were boiling, I began cutting the Velveeta cheese into cubes.
After draining macaroni, add in milk, cheese cubes, and pepper.
Cook on low heat until Velveeta is completely melted and blended. Because of Velveeta’s texture, it’s important to stir frequently.
And last but not least…..
This will be a definite must have again in our household! It was quick and easy and a big hit!

This is much like the recipe that we grew up with. Yum yum yum
This sounds like the recipe my mom used to cook when we were kids. It is super yummy. The blue box stuff doesn’t even begin to compare to this mac and cheese!;)
Wow that looks SO good. I will definitely make this soon! I’m a sucker for velveeta!
I’ve never seen homemade mac & cheese cooked on a stove top, but I love this!! I’m bookmarking it. So much easier than the way I do it!
This sounds like a really good recipe. My kids love the boxed macaroni and cheese and this looks much better than that. I will definitely try it. Thanks.
Sounds tasty. My kids would like this!
