My twins are different as night and day 1

For the twins being identical, their personalities are as different as night and day.

While both are always on the go, the antics that go along with each have their own pattern. It’s funny to see how they are becoming individuals.

Twin Boys

Nathan

baby boy
No Pictures Mom!!!!!!

Nathan is pure ornery and he knows it. Nathan is the child you see turning to look at you as he’s about to do something he shouldn’t do. He looks right at you and proceeds to whatever he’s doing as grinning from ear to ear. Yesterday, I walked down to him pulling on curtains. When he saw me, he showed me his grin, biting his teeth together in pure mischief. If he climbs up on something and you pull him down, turn around for a second and he’s back at it.

Nathan is the show off. He looks to see who’s watching and will put on a show. Some of his antics leave you in laughs. He will cuddle but he’d much rather be exploring and finding what trouble he can get in to next.

Lucas

Lucas

Lucas is the cuddle bug. He’s a mellow baby. He’s also Mama’s boy. The moment I walk into the room, he is attached. I can’t do ANYTHING without him there.  While Lucas can get into mischief like Nathan, he is the sneaky one.

“Where’d my cell phone go?” As you see Lucas rolling off the couch from his cuddles and trying to make a run for it.

His giggles while watching Nathan or his big sisters will melt your heart.

The twins keep us on our toes no matter what the day or time. It seems like lately they have a mission to kill each other when the other is in the way of what they want to do next. There’s a reason parents of twins have more than one of everything. Twins don’t learn how to share very easily. If one walks near the other bubbles, be prepared to be breaking up World War III.

We learn something every day having twins in our home. While you have the moments of wanting to pull your hair out, I don’t think we’d change it in anyway.

  1. The yin/yang of the twins is so adorable!!! Just imagine what will happen when they decide to team up one day??
    oooohhh boy! O-O

  2. I feel like I just read something about my twins. Mine are also identical, and are the same way. Henry is your Nathan, and Oliver is your Lucas. But, what I adore most about having them, is watching their love and connection with each other. They can never stand to be very far apart, and are constantly smothering each other with kisses. I would have never imagined what it’s like to have twins, but I couldn’t imagine life without them, now!

  3. I love how kids have such different personalities! I have 2 girls, less than 2 years apart and they are polar opposites. My oldest is loud, has so much energy, makes friends everywhere she goes and is quite contrary, which was always weird to me because that is not how I am at all. My youngest is just like me though, quiet, emotional, slow to warm up, a rule follower, etc.

  4. I don’t have kids of my own but when I was about 14 my mom adopted 1 set of my aunts twins, then a year later adopted the other set (4 kids). Although I don’t have any kids I know what it’s like growing up with twins that are totally different from one another.
