Ultrasound Monday and Hopefully a Plan

Ultrasound Monday and Hopefully a Plan 1

Tomorrow is our first trimester screening ultrasound. We’ve seen the twins throughout this pregnancy as hyperemesis has gotten the best of me. And even with the first trimester coming to an end, sorry to all those that told me it would end but you’re wrong. I’m still showing no signs of letting up on the morning sickness. It blows. While I’m sure some has been stress related, I can’t blame such on it everytime. Ultrasound Monday and Hopefully a Plan 2

We’ve used the Zofran, Reglan, Phenegren. Now I’m stuck with a Scopolamine patch behind my ear. Someone commented on my weight loss as she said she can see it in my face. When I looked in the mirror today, I have to admit she was right.

My headaches have attempted to come back on a more consistent basis. My headaches started while pregnant with Aubrey so it just makes sense to me that yeah, be prepared for them. Unfortunately, we do not have a pain plan in place. Pain management will not treat a pregnant patient so while I had one set of trigger point injections, I was told the rest is up to OB/GYN. Tomorrow, I am praying I can get somewhere with this and not just suck up whatever is said. I was using muscle rubs but something online says not to use such during pregnancy. Seriously?? I know pain management told me to ask OB for lidocaine but good god.

Hopefully, we can get some answers tomorrow. But either way, it’s time to see the babies.

  1. I hope you can get a good plan in place. Hyperemesis doesn’t generally go away. Sorry to be the Debbie Downer. I had it with both of my pregnancies. I also had a migraine every day I was pregnant with my 2nd. The doctor told me all I could take was Tylenol, and I’m sure I probably then got rebound headaches. It was a vicious cycle. I really hope they have made better progress in the last 4 years and have something better for you so you don’t have to suffer the illness and the pain because it sucks to say the least.
