I’ve always been the type of individual to relate, and find the meaning. I’m not the type of person to just listen to a song and fall in love with it because I can dance to it. I’m the type of girl that listens to the song, listens to the lyrics, and completely feel the connection when those lyrics share a part of my life. I fall in love with the story behind it.
Music has been something I’ve loved my entire life.
By now, I’m sure you know that my twins are Nathan and Lucas-yes, from the Scott brothers on One Tree Hill. Just like the lyrics of a song, the story of Peyton Sawyer is something I connect with.
She’s lost those she loved.
She’s felt the feeling of abandonment and not knowing her roots.
She’s been judged.
She’s had those she trusted turn their backs and walk away.
She’s had her heart broken.
She’s sought answers to why things have happened the way they do.
She doubts what she can accomplish and doesn’t realize her strength.
Peyton is her biggest critic.
Despite any and all obstacles she’s faced, she survives.
She’s a fighter.
She’s gives it everything she’s got.
I am Peyton Sawyer.

Never heard of this artist, very good song!
I’m a lyrics girl, too! I can totally relate to Peyton. Love your boys’ names. I don’t think that my husband would allow me to name my boy Lucas…. although, enough time will have passed by the time I get pregnant again. hmmm
Hehe. My husband actually introduced me to One Tree Hill so it was a pretty easy fight 😉
I’m the same as you. I might like a beat, but it’s always the words that grab me and make it a favorite if they do it right! I’ve never heard of this artist.
I LOVED her character. She was probably my favorite, because she felt real and what being a teenager feels like.
