September 9th, 2010 is the Ronald McDonald House Charities “Day of Change” and we need your support!
By dropping off your spare change at McDonald’s Donation Boxes, you are supporting children and their families everywhere. This movement of support will help the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the wonderful things they do. When we had to go to the hospital with Aubrey, we knew there was a chance of a long-term stay. Luckily we were blessed with being able to go home after just one night but, we knew that a Ronald McDonald house was available if we needed it. Seeing the almost instant access the second we arrived at that hospital gave some comfort while I tried to be strong for my little girl.
When it’s in your pocket, your spare change may seem like a small amount. But when added with others’, it can make a HUGE difference.
The nickels, dimes and quarters dropped into RMHC Donation Boxes at McDonald’s restaurants last year added up to more than $19 million..
All that change made it possible for Ronald McDonald House Charities to keep 4 million sick children and their families together in communities across the country…. And sick children cope better and heal faster when surrounded by their family.
Please join us for the RMHC DAY OF CHANGE – September 9.
Drop your small change into an RMHC Donation Box at participating McDonald’s to make a big difference. (Look for them at the counter or drive-thru.)
RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children’s lives through our global network of Chapters in 52 countries and regions and through our three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. RMHC fulfill its mission by creating innovative, effective programs that address targeted needs, and by supporting these programs and other activities conducted by its local Chapters worldwide. RMHC also awards grants to other nonprofit children’s organizations that positively impact the health and well being of children around the world.
I remember when I was younger collecting pop tabs to help raise money for Ronald McDonald’s House. My grandpa had a huge heart and I remember being little and Grandpa getting me the little pop top houses and I would do everything to fill them as quick as I could and make the “trip” to donate, knowing I was helping others. It was a value passed on to me at a very young age and it means so much to me to know no matter what your age, you can help and make a difference.
Check out Ronald McDonald’s House Charities to learn more and head over to Facebook to RSVP that you will be participating in the Day of Change!
