I am a little late in getting my pre-party planning up and running here for you all to see but I wanted to make sure I posted in time for you to all to enjoy National BRIDESMAIDS Day with the release of Bridesmaids today available on DVD and Blu-Ray.
When I was asked if I would like to host a screening party for Bridesmaids, I couldn’t think of a better reason to get friends together and enjoy some much-needed laughs and stress relief!
Join the wildest wedding party of the year when Bridesmaids marches down the aisle to Blu-ray™, DVD and digital download on September 20, 2011, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Hailed as “brazenly hysterical” by People Magazine and “the best comedy of 2011” (Back Stage), Bridesmaids is the riotously funny and warmly outrageous comedy that has become the most talked about movie of the year. Critically acclaimed by fans and media alike, the “certified fresh” film (Rotten Tomatoes.com) received “two thumbs up! ®” from Ebert Presents. Surpassing Sex and the City as the number one R-rated female comedy of all time, Bridesmaids starring “Saturday Night Live” standouts Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph, is produced by comedy mastermind Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year Old Virgin) and marks his most successful film ever.
I think we’ve all been there, the insane dresses, the stress, but watching these Bridesmaids will leave you laughing for sure!
As I’ve been working to prepare for some fun with friends, being the “pregnant bridesmaid” that I am, while I can’t partake, there’s no reason my friends can’t enjoy some fun with Bridesmaids cocktails such as the Featured Cocktail-
Bridesmaids Party Punch
- 1 Bottle of Red Wine [yellow tail] Shiraz
- 1 Lemon cut into wedges
- 1 Orange cut into wedges
- 1 Lime Cut into wedges
- 1 Apple Sliced
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Shot Brandy or Triple Sec
- 2 Cups Ginger Ale
Pour all ingredients in a pitcher and stir. For best results, let it sit in the refrigerator to cool. Pour over ice and share with friends.
Food planning is always fun for me as I LOVE having a variety of finger foods and other delicious foods no matter what the party. I’ve also had fun looking for some door prize goodies (that I’ll wait to share so I don’t spoil any fun!) so everyone can leave with something.
What are you waiting for? Head out and grab Bridesmaids today so you can enjoy the laughs as well and be prepared for more about our fun party time!
Thirty-something Annie (Kristen Wiig) has hit a rough patch but finds her life turned completely upside down when she takes on the Maid of Honor role in her best friend Lillian’s (Maya Rudolph) wedding. In way over her head but determined to succeed, Annie leads a hilarious hodgepodge of bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to the big event.
Check out the Bridesmaids page live on Facebook to check out more about this movie and plan your own Girls’ Night in!
What’s your most memorable Bridesmaid’s story? Good or bad!
I was provided with appropriate gear to prepare for a screening party and copy of the Bridesmaids movie. All opinions are 100% my own.
