As part of the Mom Central Diaper Pail Test Drive Team, the second diaper pail I had the chance to check out was the Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail. While smaller than the Diaper Genie II Elite, this bag system tightly locks in diapers, helping to seal in odors as well as a unique deodorizer that requires no needs for replacing, simply refill with baking soda and you are set!
Features of the Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail-
- Powered by odor eliminating baking soda
- Patented Self-Sealing System Seals the Bag as the Lid Closes
- Easy one-handed use
- Just Snap, Seal, and Toss bags to dispose
As for setup, there was very little. It consisted of snapping the bag into place and screwing the deodorizer into the top lid. After that, it was set and ready to go.
Usage
With the Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail, we did have to use our hands to open and push the diaper through the tight seal on the bag, and as you close the lid, you can visibly see the bag tighten shut to lock in odor-a HUGE plus. The bags are smaller so when it was time to unload, the bags simply unlock from the pail, and slide through the door on the side. There’s no cutting of bags, etc. Just snap and go!
Overall
The Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Pail is my favorite. Odor was locked in even with the opening of the lid to throw in diapers and I love that there are no extra purchases needed to keep the deodorizer full, just throw in baking soda when it gets low. I would like to see the side door latch a bit tighter, as both girls were able to pull it open with the latch in the “LOCK” position.

This was my favorite also. I was thinking i was going to be the only one LOL!
In my opinion, Arm & Hammer has never failed my house from fridge odor, all the way down to soaking in carpet stink from when we moved in our house. I am looking in to this one for an upcoming niece that is due soon. Thanks for the review!
