It is hard for me to believe the time has come for me to begin looking at what preschool options are available for my Kelsie. It feels like just yesterday I was being wheeled into the hospital ready to welcome my first daughter into the world, not sure of what to expect.
In a Nationwide survey of parents, KinderCare Learning Centers learned that when selecting a school, 76% of parents are most concerned that their school of choice employs quality and passionate teachers and 80% want to know that their child is excited to take part in activities while at school.
When I think about Kelsie starting preschool it scares me and excites me at the same time. The things Kelsie is capable of doing is amazing. She can count, she can sing her ABC’s, and she is great at letter and number recognition. The thing I worry about is that when I got to kindergarten, I was the same as her in my abilities and got bored very easily. I want a classroom that is small so I know my child has the one on one attention to keep her busy and still thriving.
This is all a new experience for me as a parent as well so I want to know that I am free to ask questions of the teachers and the curriculum so I know what to expect and how I can help her thrive. I don’t want to be the “Nuisance” mom with a million questions but I do want the opportunities to stay involved in my child’s learning experiences.
KinderCare Learning Centers offers a wide variety of curriculum for children of all ages. KinderCare would be an awesome preschool center that I would love to enroll Kelsie in but unfortunately at this time, there are none in our area. I hope that soon, they will!
What are your preschool experiences? What are the musts for your child’s schooling?
