It is hard to believe how fast 2010 has come and will soon be gone but with that, it is also that time of the year to spend time with loved ones and enjoy the Holidays. While not all of our plans are quite set in stone for Christmas this year, we know we will be in charge of some holiday entertaining for the family.
Recently a friend and I had been talking about Holiday decor since we recently moved. Pretty much all of my holiday stuff ended up stored at my mother’s house. To get in the spirit a bit, I let the girl each pick a new ornament for our tree when it comes time to put up and decided this is a tradition I would like to keep going-a new ornament choice for every year.
As most people know, I love unique and trendy designs. Sure traditional items can be fun but I am usually a bold person. While I have never actually shopped at Pier 1, I was impressed with the variety of choices. You can purchase the traditional decor items as well as fun and sassy.
My mom’s dining room table is a taller design often covered by a table runner with the appropriate design for the season. Seeing the Tartan Ruffle Table Runner pictured to the side, I easily could imagine such on her table.
As I look at the Pier 1 Imports site, I realize I really need to get into their store and check it out in person. Lately, I have been on a flat wallet clutch kick and some of the designs you can find are just AMAZING. Sometimes Christmas shopping can be hard but that’s why I love sites layed out like Pier 1’s site-giving customers the chance to find the gift for that person that has everyone on their list.
Also at this time of year, it is time to remember those in need that just need a little help to experience a wonder holiday. During the months of November and December, you can support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy and/or making a cash donation at the register. You can also show your support by choosing to “Like” Pier 1 Imports on Facebook during the month of November. Pier 1 will donate $1 to Toys for Tots.
