Simple Banana Bread Step by Step Pics Included

My girls love bananas but sometimes, our schedules get so busy that bananas aren’t the first snack grabbed and we end up with those lovely brown bananas sitting atop the microwave. Maybe it’s the pregnancy making me Betty Homemaker but I decided I wanted to find a simple and easy banana bread recipe to try!

Banana Bread

  • 3 or 4 ripe bananas, smashed
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix butter into mashed bananas in a large bowl (or cooking pan in my case ;))
Mix in sugar, egg, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Sprinkle baking soda and salt over mixture. Mix in. (I did not take a picture of this because the amounts were so minimal, you wouldn’t have seen the difference)
Add flour last, mixing into mixture.
Pour mixture into a buttered 4×8 inch loaf pan.
Bake for one hour.
It’s a little bit darker than the recipes my mom and Grandma use but it’s still soo good!

    1. That’s what I always love is playing and making a variation. It’s a bit darker than banana breads my family has made before but warm it up with some butter and oh, it still tastes AWESOME! I’m trying to decide what else to cook today 😛

  2. Ooh, I need to copy this recipe down! I don’t bake much, but I think this is simple enough that I can even make it. Lol.
