No matter what I have done in the past, I have always had sensitive and dry skin. Now, with the combination of meds I have to take, it’s no surprise that a lot of these dry my skin out even more. I hate spending money on product after product knowing there is a chance that I’ll have a sensitivity to one of the ingredients. I have become interested in finding products that are all natural and with MadeOn, I have done just that.
MadeOn Hard Lotion Bars for Dry Skin were a product that caught my attention and I was very excited to have the chance to try. MadeOn Hard Lotion Bars are handmade with all natural products including real beeswax. My experience with dry skin has been just plain yuck. My hands crack in the winter, my feet are visibly dry-it’s just not fun. Kelsie also suffers from dry skin and eczema with weather changes so I feel for her.
So what is a hard lotion bar? These unique bars are made of beeswax, shea butter, and coconut oil in a solid form. As you rub the lotion bar against your skin, it naturally “melts” with your body temperature. I LOVED the way my skin immediately felt. The texture to my skin was left much smoother. The typical dry look my hands are left with diminished a bit using the lotion bar, something that is a big plus as I have always been embarrassed to shake hands with people, etc. when my hands are dry.
About MadeOn
MadeOn Lotion Bars were first created in the kitchen of Renee Harris in 2008, when she was looking for a combination of pure, natural ingredients to help her bleeding fingers and cracked heels.
After spending the next few months testing the ingredients, trying the product at farmers markets, and getting valuable feedback through her online surveys, Renee took the product to a larger market via the worldwide web.
MadeOn Hard Lotion Bars are now available online, bringing relief to those who suffer from extreme dry skin.
In her spare time, Renee enjoys baking and cooking, and along with her husband Jonathan, devotes her days and nights to raising their 7 young children in beautiful Northern California.

I love that they are made for those sensitive to scent etc. (Beesilk Bars). I react so differently to scents! But also learned that you can customize the scent options!

I like the Second Life Hair Butter
The hair butter is definitely something I would like to try. My hair is pretty dry.

The hair butter looks interesting, but the jasmine scented hardbar lotion is very tempting.
I would probably like the hair butter, it’s exactly what my daughter’s frizzy curls need.

I learned that if you want to do these products at hom yourself, you can replaced the shea butter with avocado butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, and aloe butter.
I learned that beeswax is the ingredient that seals in the shea butter and coconut oil.
Rosewood essential oil is one of my favorites and would be lovely added to a lotion bar.
I’m a novice pottery, so working with clay for a few hours at a time really does a number on my hands. Sometimes they hurt afterwards because they’re so dry!
WOW! I am thinking this would be PERFECT for my kids! Thanks for sharing!

I’d love to try the bar in peppermint! I didn’t know that beeswax was good for sensitive skin!

This would be perfect for my daughter and I. We both have dry sensitive skin, it gets so dry that our hands break out and sometimes crack and bleed, it’s horrible! We hate lotions so this sounds ideal!

Hmm not sure if my tweet comment went through, I don’t see it! Sorry if this is a double!

Another item I would like to try is The Bug Block.
Thank you. 🙂
I didn’t even know that such a thing existed…bars of lotion!
I would like to try the Chocolat lotion bar
The Bug Block sounds great for wearing while camping since I’m allergic to most repellents.
I’m a big fan of vanilla, but I think eucalyptus essential oil would be nice in a lotion bar during the winter months because it’s so refreshing.
