Could you be the next L.A. Looks® model? That’s the question the legendary hair styling brand is asking America, as it searches for one girl and one guy who embody modern L.A. style. Through a contest launching today on Facebook, women and men age 18 and older can submit a photo for a chance to win a trip to L.A. for a professional photo shoot, and potential exposure in an upcoming L.A. Looks marketing campaign.
The model search contest is just part of the new excitement from L.A. Looks, the iconic gel brand that since the 80s has put absolute styling performance in the hands – and coifs – of girls and guys everywhere. The brand continues to set the standard for hold and control under new owner Newhall Laboratories, with products like Polish Perfect, L.A. Sport and Wet Looks infused with Tri Active Hold for absolute fixation, resistance and durability.
“L.A. Looks has incredibly dedicated fans with a great sense of style, so it was just natural to look among them as we search for our next models,” said Jon Achenbaum, Newhall Laboratories’ CEO. “This is going to be an exciting year for L.A. Looks fans with new products on tap, exciting promotions and refreshed websites and social channels.”
Fans can visit the L.A. Looks Facebook page and enter by submitting a photo through July 31. Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, quality of photo and overall appeal. Up to ten girls and 10 guys will be chosen as finalists and showcased on the L.A. Looks Facebook page from August 8-21, where fans can vote for winners. Two Grand Prize winners will be announced on or about August 26, who will enjoy a trip to L.A. including transportation, hotel, meals and participation in a professional photo shoot.
The model search will be can’t-miss for L.A. Looks fans. In addition to its home on Facebook, the contest will be promoted on-pack, in FSI’s in Sunday newspapers on May 12 and July 28, as well as at www.lalooks.com.
