As parents, we want our children to be able to have the world, and then some. Now that I have two children in school, I want to know my children are receiving the best education they can.

After the twins NICU stay, we received a letter in the mail stating some of the meds they received while hospitalized could be a potential cause of hearing loss. The fear seeing those words is something no parent wants to see. Luckily, we do not believe they have any hearing loss from that time but, it there was, I’d want the best for them to ensure they could succeed.

What: Our sense of hearing can play a critical role in education, particularly when we are young. Real and meaningful education happens when kids are truly engaged, and that engagement is only possible when kids can hear and understand the teacher.
