I can not believe it is already time for me to be discussing Kelsie and participating in activities. Now, a lot of people seem stunned when I tell them that the girls have never been in daycare. If we’ve not been home with them, they’ve been with a family member. As a Mom, of course I am worried about how she will respond in a group environment and “class structure”
With Kelsie 90% potty trained, her Dad and I discussed beforehand the chance for her to enter a dance class. When I decided to look at the Ames Park and Rec Programs, I was impressed with the amount of programs offered for all ages. But of course, some made me wonder-Tennis for a Three Year Old? That one would not end well in our household I’m sure!
So my question to you is, at what age did your children start participating in recreational activities? What are your experiences.

Isabella will be 6 in July and I just now started her in Gymnastics. The neighborhood girls (all older) do it and she has been begging me for a long time. At 5 she has been in school for half a year and knows some discipline and when she falls and isn’t seriously hurt she doesn’t “need” me KWIM?
The big thing is only YOU know your kiddos. You know what they like, don’t like etc.
