Day Three At MomDot’s Christmas Party!-Christmas Shopping!

Are you having fun at MomDot? Today’s sponsors are Hippos Toes, Appledonia and My Bag.

Topic: When do you start Christmas shopping? How do you budget for Christmas? Do you stick to your budget?

To be honest, this year I started Christmas shopping in the Summer! I’ve picked up random small items (nowhere NEAR finished) and have hidden them from Miss Kelsie’s curiosity to search them out lol.

Right now, our money situation is very tight from Steven having surgery. So what I have been doing, is going through the sales/clearance aisles at WalMart and Target looking for cool stuff I know will be good presents for the girls. Will I be able to stick to a budget this year? LOL Probably not. The girls need presents and I want to make sure it’s taken care of.

Good tips…this year is tighter for us too.

  2. I love clearance sections. I get so many great finds for a fraction of the price. I’m awful at sticking to a budget too.

  3. Money is tight for us too. It always is. Probably one of the reasons I don’t make a big deal of the holidays. We have fun with our party and other evens…we are just frugal about it!

  5. I know the feeling. We usually end up getting 1 thing for our munchkin. He gets so spoiled by grandmas, plus he’s only 2, so he has no clue.

  6. I couldn’t do it ahead of time like that because I get tempted to give it to them earlier, lol. Good for you to be able to do that!

  7. I like to have gifts under the tree (which I put up the day after Thanksgiving). That may not happen this year, because I have not bought a thing yet!

  8. good idea’s!
I always hit up the clearance sections as well, you can normally find something for stockings, and with a little luck main gifts as well!
