Bumblebaby Diapers SCAM, Customers left in Dark

Bumblebaby Diapers SCAM, Customers left in Dark 1

I normally hate posting things like this but, I am finding more people that have been left in the dust and the total dishonesty is what frustrates me to no end.

Back in late February/early March, I purchased a diaper from Jamie Thoden of Bumblebaby Diapers. Now, in March, I was also hospitalized and had surgery. I e-mailed from the hospital and gave her information for the custom cloth diaper that I wanted as I didn’t want to lose my chance.

After paying, I was told that for custom diapers, expect a 4 to 6 week wait. Okay, I can handle that. Since the item would be coming from Canada, I paid extra for tracking so I could keep track of when it would be here.

As time went on, I kept watching her business Facebook page (which has now disappeared) and there was talk of a family situation that had her behind schedule. Okay, I can understand that, I’ve been behind since having the boys and am still trying to catch up with everything that has been going on here. She told customers they could wait and she would fulfill the order or she would issue refunds, no hard feelings.

Since I have been trying to still build a cloth diaper stash, I wanted to hold out. I e-mailed asking if she by chance knew when she might have mine done.

When I did not hear from her on that Monday or the days after, I filed a claim with Paypal. Sure enough, it was too late for Paypal to do anything. She did respond though, refunding for the cost of the diaper but not the shipping. She told me the diaper must have gotten lost and she’d be filing a claim with Canadian Post. Considering I had paid for tracking, I asked for a tracking number instantly. She did not respond. I posted on her Facebook page for Bumblebaby Diapers. She did not respond. I e-mailed several possible e-mails in which she never responded.

Unfortunately, I am not the first person this has happened to. I have been in contact with others that have been outed money as Jamie has dropped off the planet, although she has been on her personal Facebook account. Someone was out $200 from purchasing from Bumblebaby Diapers. Another individual was told her item must have just been lost.

This is unfair and many have been left in the dark unable of what to do. Jamie Thoden can now be found on Ripoff Report, to hopefully protect future individuals that encounter her. It appears Jamie is trying to start a new business, unrelated to the cloth diapers she left in the dark. How many customers money did she use for her new startup?

  1. I’ve never bought from BumbleBaby – but this is a sad shame. Some new laws need to be put into place to stop rip off businesses like this. I’ll be sharing this with my friends and followers. Thank you!

  2. Thank you for this Jenna 🙂 The dishonesty of one “business” person makes it so hard to trust other online WAHM businesses.

  3. So sorry this happened to you. Not everyone has what it takes to be a business owner. People get behind, life happens, but you just have to be honest. Thank goodness people like you put the word out for “less than honorable” businesses.

  4. I am not a customer of them, but I hate to say it I don’t like dealing with “small business” owners because there really aren’t many safeguards against this.

  5. Well, I’m glad I’m not alone. Not that I’m glad others have gotten ripped off but at least I know it wasn’t just me! Mine was just a shipping refund I’ve been fighting with her for 4 months to get and I too have gotten the run around. Last year I had purchased 2 diapers from her with no problems at all and all of a sudden this year, she’s turned into this fraud. What a major disappointment that has left a very sour taste in my mouth. This “new business” venture she supposedly has listed above isn’t valid anymore, so who knows where she’s moving to next? I blasted her in an email tonight but I’m sure I won’t get a response.

  6. Sorry to hear this. I had just bought 3 of these diapers used from someone, and I LOVE their trim fit. I was hoping to be able to order more 🙁

  7. Hi I am also a customer and a very happy customer. I find this difficult to believe that she suddenly became a scammer however I do believe that this happened. I just came across this actually when googling her business name Bumblebaby diapers because we were trying to find out what happened to buy some new ones. This is really too bad, she appeared, to me, to be a really good hearted person the few times I met her.

  8. Jenna I have not completely disappeared. I do have a personal profile that isn’t blocked or hidden. I didn’t honestly scam anyone. If I did not refund you or get the product to you I apologize. I had too much going on personally to keep track of everything. As for the other business – that is actually an old business that was not started after the diapers and was very successful but had to stop as I couldn’t cook sugar while caring for a baby. Please feel free to email me at my personal email and we can figure things out. My other email closed when my website ran out.

    1. The problem is, when people contacted you, you ignored. When you were confronted, you deleted pages to hide what was coming out. Multiple individuals have had issues. We all have personal matters that come in to play but, when you are a business owner, it is your responsibility to take care of your customers, especially when they have already paid you-not continue to make excuses for what was done.

This post was written in June and you are again, stating alot of the same that was before. No responsibility, just excuses. Customers shouldn’t have to hunt you down when you have their money in your wallet.
