I am always very conscious about what our little ones are watching on television but from what I remember when I was younger, with the VeggieTales-there is no worry about the meaning behind each of these inspirational videos.
The newest DVD is an inspirational movie made especially for little girls in mind. VeggieTales:Sweetpea Beauty-A Girl After God Own’s Heart is a movie with a story about finding your TRUE beauty and not just what is on the outside that counts. In today’s society, our little girls all too often begin criticizing the way they look and material possessions instead of who they truly are. I know when I was little and even to this day, sometimes, no matter how hard you try-you find yourself being judged and then critiquing yourself. I want my girls to know that they are beautiful and to never let themselves be put down.
When the package arrived, Kelsie and Aubrey were beyond excited to see what Mommy had. When they saw Princess “Sweetpea Beauty” on the front cover, we of course had to open it right then and there.
Once upon a time, there lived a royally sour blueberry, a fair rhubarb maiden and a dastardly deceptive mirror! I am very happy with VeggieTales and glad to finally have a movie directed straight at making sure little girls know what really counts and what is TRUE BEAUTY. In my eyes, you can never go wrong with VeggieTales as providing entertainment for your little ones with a story that is full of encouragement and value.
