An annual event here in Iowa that our family loves going to is KidsFest at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Kidsfest is an annual kid-centered festival for the entire family that helps support Children and Families of Iowa.
Veridian Credit Union is the presenting sponsor of Kidsfest for the eighth year and also have a variety of activities themselves at Kidsfest to help kids learn about saving money and smart financial habits.
Kidsfest is a kid-centered festival full of fun activities, games and entertainment for kids and their families. This annual event draws over 15,000 central Iowans each year and is Children & Families of Iowa’s largest fundraiser, with the proceeds going to help at-risk families and children in Iowa. Kidsfest raised more than $155,000 in 2013. You can find more information about Kidsfest on the Children and Families website at www.cfiowa.org/. At Veridian, we believe in the in the idea of people helping people and we feel Kidsfest is a great example of this principle.
