This evening an alert popped up that had my jaw dropping and scouring the internet. Paul Walker is dead. Stunned doesn’t even begin to describe it. Heck, Ive even blogged about my love for the Fast and Furious franchise. I BREATHED it as a teenager. I love cars. Even a traumatic experience in my life had a connection embedded in my head.
I am not one to post anything like this news to my Facebook without first finding the facts. When I posted my status of shock, I was quickly bombarded with “HOAX!! TMZ ISNT REAL! SO WHAT SO AND SO CELEB HAS TWEETED THAT ITS REAL.”
Really people? Do I get to have a few choice words for you now? Did people argue whether or not it was true Elvis Presley died? Have we all become such cynics in the world that we can’t just wait to say such things? Not only am I stunned knowing someone I grew up watching has passed away, I’m mad I had to defend my disbelief.
Paul Walker became an instant hit and a name we all know well. It’s heartbreaking to know this talented man is gone far too soon.
To all of Paul Walker’s friends and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Many fans are thinking of you all during this time.

I am still so so sad over this. I too loved that franchise. It will be hard to watch #7 after this. I laid in bed that night and watched the marathon on Bravo. Just so sad.
I am still in shock over this. I saw a video circulating today of the actual wreck and I refuse to watch it.
I was so sad when I heard about this. I thought it had to be a joke. So sad.
Such a sad loss. And from what I’ve read since yesterday, he was a pretty cool guy, working hard at being a great father. My thoughts are with his daughter especially today.
