When it comes to wearing disposable contact lenses, I think we’ve all been there. “What day did I put them in? When do I need to switch pairs out?” We’ve all done it. I can admit that on more than one occasion I have tried to stretch how long I could wear my contacts only to end up hurting my eyes.
Taking care of your eyes means NOT trying to stretch out how long you can wear your contact lens and not only changing your lenses on time but also you contact lens case. I can admit that I never thought fully about how often your contact lens case needs to be replaced but it makes sense that the recommendation is to get a new lens case every 30 days. If you don’t want to do it every 30 days, the maximum amount of time should be no longer than every 3 months. It’s a scary statistic but it is estimated that 70% of contact lense cases are contaminated with bacteria and fungi from overuse. And we’re putting that all straight back into our eyes.
Thanks to LensAlert, there’s now a product that is a reminder of when to change your contact lenses. So no matter how busy you are, LensAlert keeps you alerted to when it’s time to change your contacts as well as your case out. LensAlert offers two timers-one to keep track of your contact lens and one to keep track of when it’s time to change your case as well. When the days run out, the 00 will continue blinking. With the cases coming in a variety of colors, it gives teenagers new to wearing contact lenses something fun.
The LensAlert has made things much easier for me giving me an automatic and convenient way to keep track of when it’s time to switch lenses. With all that goes on in my life, having this right there when it comes time to put my contacts in in the morning just makes sense.
The LensAlert is also now available at Target for $9.99 as well as various retail stores.

60% of contact lens wearers wear their contacts past the time to change time (is this where I admit I’m one of those…oops!)

I really really like this contact timer. I can’t count the number of times that I’ve forgotten when I need to change my contacts. I really think LensAlert’s innovative idea is a great way to improve the health of your eyes. The cases come in many cool colors which are really cool for younger kids who are just getting started with contacts (and some adults). The product is not very costly at all, and is easily available. I would really like to try it out so I can pass on the information to other contact wearers!
I learned that they are sold in 26 countries! Thank you for the giveaway!
I am so guilty of this: 60% of contact lens wearers wear their contacts past the time to change time
I learned that you shouldn’t use tap water to clean your lense case.
1 in 4 never replace their contact lens case.
