Wordless Wednesday:All Dogs Go to Heaven #WW 1

While I know this isn’t exactly Wordless…

Yesterday while talking to my Mom, she told me she had to make one of the hardest decisions one can make. It was time to say goodbye to our dog of over 15 years.

In recent months, Buddy was having a hard time walking and at sometimes, was completely unable to walk. Last week, it was obvious to her that he was suffering. Buddy was an amazing dog and he would have never shown us his pain. He’s been a loyal dog and always aimed to please.

Yes, I have cried over my “Buddy puppers”. When we go to my Mom’s next week, Buddy won’t be there to bark as we pull in. My Buddy won’t be there for me to lay on the floor with. My Buddy is gone.

I’ve never met a dog as perfect as Buddy. Not only was he ornery and would wrestle and rough house but he also was a protector. As my little brothers were born, and then as my own children were born, Buddy would “stand guard” of the babies to ensure none of the cats tried jumping on them. He’d take his hair being pulled by little hands, being pushed over to lay on, all of it.

BuddyI’ll miss you so much Buddy. We all love you. You can rest now Buddy. <3

  4. Aww, I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss! I have tears just thinking about this because our Ginger dog is getting older and it’s hard to watch. It’s wonderful that you have so many memories of your Buddy! ((hugs))
