If there’s one thing I enjoy at night after the kids are in bed, it’s sitting down to relax and watch some tv. I’ve been known to leave the tv on whatever has been on but now that I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Tab2, I’ve fallen in love with the Peel Smart Remote App.
The Peel Smart Remote makes browsing what’s on TV even easier by showing a visual of the programs that are on and breaking shows down by category. Looking for a reality show? Check the category. Want to see what’s brand new on tv tonight? You can check the category as well.
I was able to set up the app with our television in probably less than ten minutes. That’s great considering we have a very small cable company and the app was able to recognize our service provider and show the programs available in our area.
Not only can you browse the guides for what is on TV but yes, you can literally control your television from the tablet. Our cable box includes DVR and I’ve been able to scroll through our recorded shows and find what I want to watch from my tablet.
Some might say, well you can look for what’s on tonight by browsing the guide on your TV. There’s more to it than just that. If Aubrey’s going to watch something, I can show her what the current options are and it makes it easier for her to see the tiles of what’s on instead of questioning why something else isn’t on. It’s a simple way to give her a quick option and I need quick now that the twins are mobile.
When you have a favorite show, you can tag it so every time the show is scheduled, it synced with your calendar to send you a reminder. When you’re a busy mom and always on the go, it’s easy to forget about entertainment.
