The Imposter by Kip Kreiling *Review & Giveaway*

As many readers here know, I studied Criminology at Iowa State before I switched to T-Spa. I also did not have the greatest childhood and found myself pushed back and forth as a foster child bouncing to find my place. When I heard about the chance to check out The Imposter, I definitely jumped ready to read.

A quote I once heard listening to a speaker in high school was, “Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes”. This book showed me again my memory of this quote that has stuck with me for some time now. We are the ones in control of our lifes, no matter what our circumstances.  And Kip Kreiling shows the truth to this.

Kip didn’t get the chance for a great childhood. Childhood abuse, violence, and broken dreams left him trying to find his way unfortunately the hard way. Before the age of 10, Kip had been arrested three times and by 14, he found himself arrested eleven times. As an adolescent, Kip struggled to fill the empty void and confusion. He used drugs, found himself failing school, and hitting rock bottom fast. Thrown into the juvenile system, Kip became one of many constantly bounced around.

But Kip didn’t follow the path that many do. He transformed his life into something more. He proves it is possible to change. Though the path was long and hard, Kip has become a corporate executive to some of the top companies. Kip shows that while many could have expected him to continue on the path of destruction, he learned from his mistakes to create a better life for himself and his family as well.

p style=”text-align: center;”>We’ve all had struggles, some much rougher than others. Kip shows in The Imposter a story of honesty, there’s no sugar coating of his life experiences. But with that, he also shows us all inspiration to pick ourselves up and create a better for ourselves.
