Sunday as I sat in our hotel in Florida, I received word of a school classmate’s death. I broke down in tears thinking of her children, Andy and Addie, that she loved with all her heart.
When I found out the circumstances, I was devastated. Headlines began popping up of her murder. As I was stuck in a long drive home, my thoughts were flooded with Jaclyn, her children, and the entire situation. It still seems unreal.
Jaclyn Powell was a beautiful woman and mother. I knew she was so proud of her children. We hadn’t been in the day to day contact like many would during school but we were friends on Facebook, commenting on pictures of each others’ children. When I was in the hospital for my gallbladder surgery and worried about being away from home, she reached out, offering support and even to see if there was anything she could do.
You will be missed by so many Jaclyn.
Please help by contributing to a fun for Jaclyn’s children, Andy and Addie.

I have been following this story since you told me about it. My thoughts, love and prayers are with her family and I hope justice is served to the monster that killed her. 🙁
