When it comes to meal planning and having several children with different taste buds, we love being able to try new things. Sure, we all love tacos, homemade chicken tenders, or pasta dishes but if you are looking for a new recipe to add to your menu planning list, this one is for you!
Orange Marmalade Pork Chops
Ingredients
4 (1 1/4-inch-thick) pork lion
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup of sweet orange marmalade
1/2 cup barbecue sauce (any brand)
fresh Oranges
Directions
Pierce pork lion with a fork several times on each side.
Mix together the fresh orange juice, soy sauce and crushed red pepper in a baking dish. Add your pork lion. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
Remove pork lion from the baking dish, discard the remaining sauce. Sprinkle chops with both the salt and pepper.
Combine the orange marmalade and barbecue sauce in a bowl. Using only 1/2 of the sauce, coat one side of your pork loin evenly. Saving the remaining sauce mixture for the other side of the loin.
Grill the naked side of the pork lion on medium heat for 10 minutes. Turn over the loin on to the other side and brush the cooked side of the chop with the remaining sauce. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. After removing your pork loin from the grill allow to sit for 5 minutes.
Grill the fresh orange slices for 1 minute on each side over medium heat. Garnish the pork loin with the freshly grilled orange slices.
Enjoy with a variety of freshly grilled vegetables.
