Staying on Track with Writing.

Staying on Track with Writing. 1

The role of a writer is not to say what we all can say, but what we are unable to say. -Anaïs NinIn my goals for 2016, I talked about finding focus. One of the things I wanted to accomplish is working on writing. Last year, I had the honor of one of my stories for Stigma Fighters being published in the Anthology. Writing has been something I have loved since I was a little girl so having the honor to tell part of my story was rewarding. I once saw a quote, “If you are afraid to write it, it needs to be written.” and it is so true. When you write such, you are opening yourself up in a way that leaves you vulnerable and yet, powerful.

This year, I have made it my goal to write my own book. While I’m still trying to find my direction and looking for where to go with it all, it is something I am remaining focused on for this year. Maybe my story can help others who are struggling, be something another person needs to read as they go through their own struggles. No matter what you think, you can create something that means something.

There have been several bloggers I’ve been proud to see their books in stores or published online. This has been something I’ve thought about for quite some time and now it’s time to make it happen. We can’t accomplish if we do not try.

Have you ever thought of writing a book? Have you done so?
