I can not believe that in less than a month, Aubrey will be celebrating her first birthday. I don’t know where to begin!
It’s always hard trying to decide what to pick out for her party. I don’t want to be one of those parents who goes “too far” for a first birthday. Yeah, I’m sorry-my daughter will not have a pony.
With Kelsie, the first birthday was Elmo. With Aubrey, I’m not sure what to do. She is in LOVE with Shrek. But of course, how “girly” can a cake get with Shrek and Donkey on it?
One of the toys I’ve already picked out for her is the Playskool Busy Ball Popper. When I was at the BlogHer conference, I had the chance to check out some of the Playskool toys, and I have to say the Busy Ball Popper looked like something Aubrey would absolutely LOVE. It’s a busy toy with lots of sounds and movements so of course, it would keep Aubrey having fun. I’m glad I made this purchase and cant wait for her to play with it after her birthday.
So yes, I have one purchase down but as for the rest, I’m not sure what to do.

That Ball Popper thing looks like FUN!!!
Is Aubrey a girly girl?
She honestly is a little bit of everything! She’s very mobile and on the go but she’s also my Princess!
I almost got that ball popper for my sons birthday, sounds like I should have! If your looking for more ideas, we got him the V tech Alphabet Train, and he loves it. There are a ton of different things that they can do on it, and it is by far his favorite present!
Good luck deciding and Happy Early Birthday to Aubrey!!
My son just celebrated his first birthday yesterday. He also loves Shrek and the trilogy was one of his presents. 🙂
We have that ball popper and it’s one of those toys my kids never get tired of. Happy Birthday soon to Aubrey!
My first child is now 24 years old. But how well I remember his first birthday.
Savor the time spent with your children 🙂
