Today my heart took another blow. One that I wish I could stop. One that I wish more than anything really wasn’t a reality but it is. I wish more than anything there’s something I could do to take it back but I have no control.
A friend Karissa, chose that she couldn’t handle the pain anymore.
And now many are forced to say Goodbye. We say goodbye to a beautiful woman.
A woman with a heart of gold who was always reaching out for others. She reached out to me.
She knew of my pain and was a shoulder when the rest turned away. A strong one. Karissa told me she was always just a message away for anything I needed. She gave me a smile when I needed one the most.
RIP Karissa.
Karissa, I wish I could have been more of a reach back. If only you knew how much you meant to each and every one of us.

This is really beautiful, J. I’m so sorry to hear about Karissa. My thoughts are with you. Love, Susan
I’m reeling from this news. 🙁 Your post is a lovely tribute, Jenna.
Thinking of you and all the momdot ladies, I can’t imagine how incredibly hard this must be on all of you. (((HUGS))) mama!
(((HUGS)) She will always be in our hearts. She was such a sunshine to many of us and will be missed so much more then she ever would have known.
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Robert Frost (1875-1963)
