Getting Ready for 2011

Getting Ready for 2011 1

It is hard to believe that 2011 is only days away. This year has gone so so fast. In February, Kelsie will be four.

As I think ahead, I hope to set some goals for myself and my family to help things run smoother. For one, I have gained new insight from some of the doctors I have met and am lucky to have several I trust (for the most part) to help me find what will help me the best.

Something I have always slacked in that I NEED to work on is organization. No matter how hard I try, I always seem to slack. I’ve found some awesome android apps for my phone to help keep track of my medications (believe me, they get changed at just about every doctor’s appt.) and being able to add in information to remember my doctor’s phone numbers and so forth but I still want to get things more situated. I want to be able to walk into my kids’ room and know exactly where to look for something. We live in an apartment so yes, space can be tight but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to still have a home.

I know I am not the only one that struggles with organization so I hope to bring all of you plenty of new ways to help keep your homes and family management running more smoothly!Getting Ready for 2011 2

In 2011, I plan to focus on my health even further and stay on some of my doctors. These are my care team individuals and if you think about it, they hold power. If there’s something I’ve learned, unfortunately, sometimes you have to be THAT patient to get the things you need. All too often it’s, “take this pill” and send a person on their way. That just doesn’t work. I want to take a more proactive approach, keep track of EVERYTHING that is said or done and not be afraid to ask questions. I also plan to work harder from my home aspect of keeping track of each and every thing happening here.

What do you have planned for the new year?
