Dirty Little Secrets

I’ve gotten the chance to check out a book, Dirty Little Secrets from Otherwise Perfect Moms and I have to say there are some pretty fun things in there. It kind of reminds me of Postsecret. Written by Trisha Ashworth and Amy Nobile, they interviewed hundreds of Moms and discovered “little secrets”.
From the book-
“Hidden from husbands and erased from the checkbook, Dirty Little Secrets are those indulgences we rely on in times of need (hello, celebrity gossip!), the shortcuts we take when no one’s looking(showers are overrated!), and our real, honest thoughts about motherhood and family”

I picked out some random “dirty little secrets” that made me laugh or caught my attention.

“I had to use my toddler’s potty chair on the side of the road while I was stuck in traffic. I just couldn’t hold it”

“If I repeat to myself I’m ok, I’m ok I hope that I will begin to believe it”

“I believe in the 7 out of 10 rule when it comes to your husband. Everything used to bug me, but when I really thought about it I realized he had 7 out of the 10 qualities I want out of a man. Now I try and not let the three things he doesn’t have bum me out”

“I told my 4 year old daughter that it is illegal to get married before you’re twenty-nine.”

“We were in the grocery store and when we hit the wine aisle, she screamed, ‘That’s Mommy’s Juice!”

“I take like 4 showers a day. Because showers are allowed”

I strongly suggest checking this book out! It is incredible and you’d be surprised how many secrets YOU can relate to. If not, you can enjoy a good laugh or smile. Give YOURSELF a Christmas present.
