CT Results are in.... 2I just now was called by my doctor regarding my CT. He told me that I did not have a sinus infection but I had significant abnormalities in the sinuses. Uh, what on earth does that mean? So, now I have to wait for another referral to an ENT. Hey, we might have an answer to my headaches but at the same time-why the hell has it taken almost FOUR YEARS to check this?

I don’t know how long it will take to get into this doctor, I have no clue if I do have surgery how I will be able to take care of the girls as I’m sure a surgery of this sort is gonna be up there in pain. Has anyone experienced this? Heck, I still have my tonsils and adenoids-I’m doomed meeting an ENT.

I also told the doctor that I was told I needed to follow up for a “headache requiring ER evaluation”. Yeah, he told me to go to the ER on Friday?

Well I didn’t and went Saturday. The doctor’s response was “his hands were tied” with what he could do to help me. He wanted to start an IV on me as I was dehydrated. Well, the paramedics gave up on it after several stabs and no luck getting one. They even used a vein light and couldn’t get it. So-my treatment for a headache? Toradol and Benedryl. Obviously, it didn’t help. My pain going in was at a 6 and I left at a 6. Yet I heard someone talking about their spouse taking “24 Percocet in 3 days” for pain. I was sent off. I don’t ask for pain medication, I ask for other things that can be used and if it can’t, then I accept pain medication. But yet, I am left to suffer as nothing has been set up to actually HELP stop pain in it’s tracks.

My doctor told me to come in. The soonest I can get there is Friday. Fifty bucks say I leave with no pain management options. Any takers?

  1. Won’t take the bet, you’d win. Anyways that’s been my experience with Doctor’s regarding my constant pain and lightheadedness and brain glitches.
I hope you get some answers from the ENT and some treatment
    that actually helps.

  2. 🙁 I’m sorry Jenna that’s just crap that you’re getting no where with this stuff.

  3. I have a deviated septum, and I’ve found that using a netipot kit with the saline solution really helps. Just make sure the water isn’t too hot! I also use avyr saline nasil gel in and around my nostrils. Besides the deviated septum, I have abnormally supersmall openings in all my sinus cavities, and my ear canals, etc. and when they’re inflamed (due to cold, flu, allergies, infections, etc.) it’s really hard to breathe. My ENT says these kinds of sinus problems are like having asthma, just in your face.

  4. I am sorry you are having such horrible headaches, and that they can’t offer you some relief! A friend of mine who gets migraines goes to the ER and they give her a shot of something which does help a bit. Demerol? Morphine? I’ll have to find out 🙂

At any rate, I hope somebody can help you, and soon!
