With all the talk of Christmas in July, not only can you think about specials and sales but it also makes you think about Christmas cards, decorating and more.
Growing up, I was always excited to see what Christmas cards were coming in and to help decorate in anyway I could. I loved being able to hang our Christmas cards on the Christmas mantle or even, zig-zag each card on our wall as a decoration. It always amazed me how many different designs were possible, from the humorous animal Christmas cards, to the embossed cards, or even the personalized photo Christmas cards, each had it’s own unique design to match the sender’s personality.
Last year was our first year sending out photo cards for Christmas but it was a fun way to send pictures of our girls to family that live in other states and aren’t able to see our family as often as we might like. It made me smile hearing back from our family with how much our girls have grown and that the cards were up on the fridge for all to see. Being able to send photo cards in celebration of the Holidays gives us a way to keep friends and family updated and give them a hard-copy of pictures, something I think we often forget in the digital age of just passing photos online.
This year I plan to send out photo cards again for all to see, hoping I can catch those perfect moments with the sun shining outside.
