If there’s one thing I truly love about the WWE, it is how involved they are in taking part in various organizations and awareness. There is one annual event that catches my attention and it should catch your attention to:The WWE Tribute to the Troops. Not only is this a yearly show but, it is a wide variety of events in which WWE Superstars and Divas help give back to the members of our armed forces.
When I think of those serving and being away from their families during the Holidays to protect our freedoms, well, it makes me feel so much appreciation for our military but it also breaks my heart that they are away from their family. Knowing that the WWE is helping to boost the morale and show our troops how much they are appreciated means the world to me. From our injured soldiers to troops overseas, the WWE spends their time showing support of our troops. We have had friends and family serve in the Military and take pride in each and every one of our soldiers.
2012 marks the 10th Anniversary of WWE Tribute to the Troops. This year, you can catch the Tribute to the Troops December 19th at 9/8PM CT on USA and December 22nd at 9/8PM CT on NBC.
WWE Tribute to the Troops has become a holiday tradition and is considered TV’s most patriotic and heartwarming show. In the grand tradition of Bob Hope, the holiday special will feature performances by Grammy Award–nominated, international superstars Kid Rock and Flo Rida, and WWE’s biggest Superstars and Divas for thousands of military personnel and their families at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va. The show will also feature appearances by Disney’s The Muppets, Access Hollywood and NBC Sports’ Michelle Beadle and more. Kid Rock and Flo Rida join a renowned list of legendary performers who have entertained at WWE Tribute to the Troops including Mary J. Blige, Nickelback, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ group Diddy-Dirty Money and Trace Adkins.
