Being in Pain is Miserable

Pain is a vicious cycle. One that can really truly disrupt everything you need to get done in a day. Take for example right now, it is 3:45 am and I am awake. I have tried to sleep but I’ve been awoken by stabbing pain in my hip and back shooting all the way down my leg. Now mind you, I had an SI joint injection twice now. They did not work, if anything, they made the pain worse when it flares like this.

I’ve done ibuprofen and some melatonin to knock me out. Nothing. I’ve used a muscle rub. Nothing. And the unfortunate thing when a person with migraines gets no sleep, tomorrow (well today now) will be an amazing time.

I would wish pain like this on no one, not even a worst enemy. And remember, never judge circumstances when you truly do not know what a person is dealing with.

  1. :( hugs to you sweetie. I wish there was something I could do to help. Love you.

  2. I have had some flare ups lately and it really does suck. My hips are the worst affected. I have tried removing gluten from my diet and I do believe it is helping so I am going to try 1 month completely gluten-free then try working it back in. If I am pain-free then it comes back I’ll know that the gluten is a trigger for me.

People just don’t understand that kind of pain though, but for me I’m hoping that changing my diet will work.

I hope you can find some relief…
